Examination/Consultation - In order to understand a patient’s problem, Dr. Wendt will do a thorough, comprehensive examination including x-rays.  This information is used to develop a treatment plan which will be discussed, in depth, with the patient. This provides the patient with valuable knowledge to make an informed decision.

2 nd Opinion - Sometimes a patient is unsure about information received from another dental professional.  Dr. Wendt will be more than happy to answer any questions and clarify treatment options.

Non-surgical Periodontal Therapy (Root planing) - Early to mild forms of gum disease can be successfully treated without surgery. This option could be a possibility to consider.

Periodontal Surgery - Moderate to advanced levels of gum disease are oftentimes best resolved with surgical intervention.  These procedures are performed in-office usually only requiring local anesthesia.

Laser Periodontal Surgery - This relatively new surgical approach can be an alternative to conventional gum surgery.  No cutting or stitches, less pain and a quicker recovery are all benefits to this new technology.

Implant Dentistry - If you are missing one or more teeth, dental implants offer the comfort and security of a permanent replacement that looks and functions just like your natural teeth. Dental implants also help preserve the tooth-supporting bone in your jaw that deteriorates when even one tooth is lost.

Cosmetic Gum Surgery - The gum tissue that surrounds and supports your teeth plays a big role in how appealing your smile will look. Excess gum tissue, gum recession, and an uneven gum line are all problems that have been successfully treated by Dr. Wendt.

Gum Grafting - If gum recession is affecting your health or your appearance, a routine surgical procedure called gum grafting may help. It involves carefully placing a small amount of new tissue in an area where little or no gum tissue currently exists — typically recommended to prevent further gum recession or to help cover tooth root surfaces that have become exposed.

Tooth Extractions - There are times when it is in your best interest to have a tooth extracted (removed). This could be the case for a variety of reasons, including: damage or trauma to the tooth; extensive gum disease; extensive tooth decay; or overcrowding.   Dr. Wendt has been providing these services for over 30 years.

Bone Grafting - Bone grafting, a minor in-office surgical procedure, is commonly used in dentistry to correct deficiencies in bone quantity and to build support for teeth or dental implants.

Nitrous Oxide - Also known as “laughing gas” or “sweet air”, this is an option patients can request to eliminate anxiety.

Treatment of Loose Teeth and Bite Problems - Periodontal disease is the most common cause of loose teeth, though placing too much stress on the teeth can aggravate the problem. Whatever the cause, loose teeth require immediate treatment.

Digital X-rays - This technology is an essential part of diagnosing a periodontal condition. These x-rays can be emailed to the patient’s general dentist, insurance provider or anyone else in need of this diagnostic tool.

Dental Hygiene/Maintenance – Dr. Wendt’s highly skilled and experienced hygienists provide conservative therapy (root planing) and cleanings.  A properly followed hygiene regiment in our office will ensure periodontal health.
